Full Stack AI Developer

This is a 1099 contracting position with the possibility of Fulltime W2 after 6 months

About the Role:

We are seeking a Full Stack AI Developer (U.S. Citizens only) to join our team and help build and scale AI-driven applications. This role requires expertise in designing and deploying secure, cloud-native AI solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong skills in AWS Bedrock, , and DevSecOps, with a focus on implementing security best practices across the stack to meet both mission-critical federal requirements and commercial enterprise needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and deliver end-to-end AI-powered applications leveraging AWS Bedrock.
• Develop secure, high-performing front-end features and UIs with and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Implement and harden back-end services, APIs, and serverless solutions in AWS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) with integrated security controls.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with CloudFormation or Terraform using secure-by-default configurations.
• Apply DevSecOps practices to support compliance with federal standards (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, and CMMC) and commercial frameworks (NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, CCPA, and GDPR).
• Conduct secure coding, peer reviews, and vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor, debug, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security posture.
• Collaborate with UI/UX, Data Science, and DevOps teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Continuously research and apply emerging LLM/AI security considerations, adversarial AI risk mitigation strategies, and advancements in AWS services.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven full stack development experience across both front-end and back-end.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS Bedrock and large language model (LLM) integration.
• Proficiency in , JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub/GitHub Actions.
• Strong background in CloudFormation or Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with secure coding standards (OWASP, CWE/SANS).
• Experience implementing identity and access management, API security, and encryption best practices.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures (tenant isolation, RBAC).
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cognito (User Pools, Groups, authentication flows) and for secure OAuth2/OIDC.
• Familiarity with DynamoDB advanced design patterns (two-table design, GSI, TTL, session persistence).
• Strong TypeScript (strict mode) experience.
• Proficiency in Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Radix UI for modern, responsive UI development.
• Experience with real-time applications (streaming chat, citation traceability).
• Familiarity with AWS S3 for secure file/document storage.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability (CloudWatch, Sentry, custom metrics).
• AWS Certifications preferred, including:

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Security & Compliance Environment:

This position requires developing solutions that meet the highest standards of security and compliance across both federal and commercial sectors. Developers will contribute to applications aligned with frameworks such as FISMA, NIST SP800-53, FedRAMP, and CMMC for government use, while also adhering to commercial compliance standards, such as NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, CCPA, and GDPR. Experience in secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), zero-trust architectures, and continuous monitoring is highly valued.
