This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.Qualifications:
- GED / High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field. Experience in a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
- Ability to support manufacturing schedules (D-Shift; Fri-Sun; 5pm – 5am) and overtime on as needed basis
Desired:
- Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation experience
- Experience with quality tools such as Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis and corrective action
- Relevant experience in AS9145, Advance Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process
- Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities (SPC)
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar certification is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document quality standards, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular surveillance audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI).
- Identify areas for process improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance quality and efficiency.
- Provide training sessions for employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Support nonconformance material reviews.
- Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for process enhancements.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, and other departments to ensure that quality is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Other activities as assigned.

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
