**Job Description:**
We are looking for a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team in Orlando, FL. The right candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation and a commitment to providing excellent legal support to clients. Our client is a full-service law firm that has served Central Florida for over 30 years. They have more than 40 attorneys and over 10 offices in the region.
Seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney with 3-5 years of experience for their Orlando office. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in Construction Law and experience with hearings and depositions. This role is onsite but may offer hybrid work options.
**Role and Responsibilities:**
- Prepare cases, legal strategies, and correspondence diligently.
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, including hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
- Utilize electronic discovery tools effectively.
- Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to provide advice and guidance to clients.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of client cases.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
- Maintain accurate and updated case files and documentation.
- Draft motions and briefs with minimal supervision.
- Manage various projects and deadlines while preparing and revising documents.
- Clearly explain legal terminology to clients in a timely manner.
- Research unique legal issues by identifying relevant statutes and judicial decisions.
- Formulate solutions to complex legal questions.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals and deadlines.
- Ensure project and department milestones/goals are met within approved budgets.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share information, resolve client issues, and support all client projects.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with clients regarding procedural matters, case processing issues, and case strategy.
- Supervise paralegal staff and legal assistants in record-keeping and document preparation to minimize errors.
**Qualifications and Education Requirements:**
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice in Florida.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience required.
- 3-5 years of experience in Construction Law is preferred.
- Proven track record as a Commercial Litigation Associate.
- Strong knowledge of state laws and regulations related to commercial litigation.
- Experience working with large clients and conducting consultations.
- Knowledge in Construction Law, Business Law, Appeals, Civil Litigation, and Real Estate Litigation.
- Outstanding skills in negotiation and client interaction.
- Experience in high-volume practices.
- Familiarity with software such as Filevine and Lead Docket preferred.
