Farbest-Tallman Foods, a well-established growing distributor and manufacturer of food and nutrition ingredients has an opening for an Entry Level Supply Chain Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will be meticulous, organized, and able to multitask. The role will support our Customer Service, Sales and Product Management teams by competently gathering data and providing updated, timely, information on the status of products for purchase orders. The candidate will work with our warehouses and brokers to schedule domestic and overseas deliveries and meet overall deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Execute internal and external flow of purchase orders from inception to product delivery.

Replenish inventory based on customer contracts and open order requirements. Analyze inventory turns, slow moving items and expiring inventory.

Liaison with custom brokers providing all documents directly sourced from overseas manufacturers to ensure product is government cleared, track containers, work with Accounting Department.

Maintain requirements planning at the division level to ensure the proper balance of inventory costs and availability to meet customer demand and company objectives.

Negotiate pricing with suppliers i.e. freight companies and warehouses to develop cost effective strategies for inbound and outbound and storage of products.

Conduct monthly warehouse inventory reconciliations, approve invoices, adjust inventory as needed. Maintain Item Master.

Analyze data to identify areas of improvement and make recommendation changes to management.

Participate in multi departmental meetings to update them with availability and flow of product.

Review all documents to ensure accuracy against PO's.

Plan and execute warehouse transfers as needed.

Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain operations.

Measure supply chain performance and report to management.

Qualifications:

General knowledge of supply chain operations

Strong data entry and computer skills with advanced level of Microsoft Office.

Exceptional analytical skills, high level of accuracy, detailed with timely follow-up.

Clear and concise communicator both written and verbal.

Organized, able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.

Ability to recognize issues in advance with a problem-solving mind-set.

Capable of building solid working relationships.

Education/Experience:

BS/BA in Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Business Analytics or related major.

NetSuite experience required. APICS certification desired.

2-5 years' experience in inventory planning, inventory management, operational analysis, procurement, and inbound logistics. Experience working with 3PL's highly desired.

Detailed knowledge of logistics pipeline and operational issues affecting freight movement.

Experience in marine logistics (ocean container) and motor carrier transportation, rail or multimodal.

Working knowledge of US Customs and freight classifications.

Travel:

Individual must be able to travel overnight to Farbest locations and third-party warehouses.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55, $60,000.00 per year
