Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Car Sales Consultant to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will excel in outside sales, possess strong negotiation skills, and have experience in high-end automobile sales. This role involves engaging with customers, managing sales pipelines, and providing exceptional customer service to drive vehicle sales and foster long-term client relationships. Multilingual abilities and familiarity with CRM software are highly valued to enhance communication and outreach efforts. The Car Sales Consultant will play a vital role in promoting our inventory, upselling additional products, and supporting overall dealership sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Engage prospective buyers through outbound sales calls, cold calling, and in-person interactions to generate new leads and expand the sales pipeline
  • Conduct high-end automobile sales by understanding customer needs, presenting suitable vehicle options, and closing deals effectively
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service, public speaking, and communication skills
  • Manage inventory control and assist with inventory management to ensure accurate vehicle availability information
  • Utilize CRM software to track customer interactions, follow up on leads, and manage the sales process efficiently
  • Upsell additional products such as warranties, service packages, and accessories to maximize dealership revenue
  • Support marketing initiatives by participating in promotional events and outreach activities
  • Maintain organized records of sales activities, customer preferences, and market trends using retail math and organizational skills
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for increasing retail sales and improving dealership performance

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in automobile sales or retail sales with a strong understanding of automotive industry standards
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and public speaking abilities
  • Demonstrated success in outside sales, B2B sales, or outbound sales environments
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Familiarity with CRM software, inventory management systems, and marketing tools
  • Multilingual or bilingual proficiency is a plus for engaging diverse customer bases
  • Organizational skills necessary for managing a sales pipeline and inventory control
  • Experience with dealership operations, retail math, and automotive inventory management preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
