Title: Customer Service Billing Specialist
The Impact You Will Have:
Liberty Home Guard is seeking a Customer Service Billing Specialist to join us in helping our customers with their needs relating to their home repairs (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical). While previous direct experience in home warranties is a plus, it is certainly not a prerequisite. We welcome candidates with strong character who demonstrate the ability to work hard, think creatively, and put the customers first.
Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technicians and customers, addressing financial queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Independently handle simple problems while efficiently escalating complex issues to higher tiers or relevant departments for swift resolution.
- Maintain detailed records by accurately documenting interactions, solutions, and financial transactions for future reference and analysis.
- Strictly follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure consistent and high-quality handling of inquiries or problems related to all payments, ensuring the validity of authorizations, payable invoices, and verified completion of work.
- Process payments meticulously, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in financial transactions.
- Remit payments using electronic methods and phone calls, maintaining professionalism and persistence while resolving issues.
- Handle technician and customer requests efficiently through various communication channels, including Slack and email, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
- Respond promptly to inter and intra-departmental messages, resolving billing-related issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct outbound calls and emails to customers and technicians to confirm claim completion and payment processing.
- Collaborate with policyholders, potential customers, third-party institutions, and other team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors.
- Handle complaints, provide solutions within time limits, and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Reconcile all payments with customers' accounts to ensure all outstanding balances are paid.
- Input payment history, upcoming payment information, or other financial data into an individual account..
- Predictable, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job.

- Experience is not a prerequisite but preferred.
- A minimum of one year of previous call center experience.
- Additional Note: This is NOT a medical billing position. It is a customer service position within our billing department.
Pay Rate: $ $21.00 per hour based on experience
