Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and preventing loss or damage. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued, along with certifications in first aid and CPR. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, managing conflict situations, and enforcing safety protocols across the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
  • Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity within and around the property
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including medical emergencies requiring first aid or CPR
  • Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
  • Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques
  • Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities
  • Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries as needed
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during investigations or incidents

Requirements

  • Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields preferred
  • Valid certifications in first aid and CPR highly desirable
  • Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and loss prevention strategies
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and discreetly
  • Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond quickly when necessary
  • Must pass background checks and any required licensing or training requirements for security personnel

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
