Position Summary:
WBCS is seeking applicants for a Resident Teacher. This position is a full-time position. Duties of this position include working directly with the classroom teacher to co-teach to implement lessons, small group instruction and overall classroom management.

RESIDENT TEACHER —Must hold a valid NYS Certification as a NYS Teacher
The Resident Teacher is responsible for providing instructional and behavioral support to students under the direct supervision of a classroom teacher.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Work with teachers to address individual needs of students
- Work with students individually or in small groups, under supervision
- Assist in classroom management
- Use materials effectively and keep activity focused on objective
- Attend professional development training
- Co-teach instructionally with classroom teacher
- Plan with grade level team
- Other duties may be determined
- Opportunities to work afterschool programming
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
- New York State teaching certification
- Teaching or student teaching experience in a school preferred
