Del Campo High School is seeking an experienced, visionary head coach for the Football program. The ideal candidate is a student-centered leader who values academics as much as athletics, understands the importance of collaboration within the school community, and has a proven record of building competitive, character-driven football programs.
We are looking for a program builder and proven winner who can lead with integrity, enthusiasm, and excellence both on and off the field.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the high school football program, including player development, staff supervision, and game preparation.
  • Foster a culture of academic accountability, emphasizing that players are students first and athletes second.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school administration, faculty, alumni, boosters, parents, and other community partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the junior football program to ensure consistent player development, shared values, and alignment from youth through the varsity levels.
  • Uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship, discipline, and personal conduct among players and coaches.
  • Organize offseason strength and conditioning programs, clinics, and community events to promote engagement and school spirit.
  • Oversee all logistics including equipment, budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with CIF and district regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Head Coach at the High School level.
  • Demonstrated success in building or sustaining a winning football program that emphasizes player growth, academic success, and community involvement.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to connect with students, parents, staff, and local youth organizations.
  • Ability to mentor and develop assistant coaches.
  • Teaching credential preferred but not required.
