Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of pump technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot pump system issues using specialized tools such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and identify faults accurately.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on various types of pumps, including centrifugal, reciprocating, and vertical pumps.
  • Oversee the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of pump components, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and technical specifications.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime and extend the lifespan of pump assets.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts inventory for accountability and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize pump system performance and recommend upgrades or modifications as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.

Skills

  • Proven experience in pump maintenance, repair, or mechanical troubleshooting within industrial or utility settings.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems associated with pumps, including the use of ohmmeters for testing electrical components.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team effectively.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to accurately diagnose issues.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills to identify root causes quickly.
  • Effective communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration across teams.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy components, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces.
  • Certification or experience in electrical testing tools like ohmmeters is highly desirable. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $40.00 per hour
