We are seeking a driven and technically proficient Sales / Business Development Manager to spearhead growth within the U.S. market and expand our relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, and OEM clients.

Position Overview

This is a high-impact sales and business development role focused on driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and representing DEI Power Solutions within the power distribution industry. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, consultative sales experience, and industry connections—especially with major OEMs such as Siemens, Eaton, and Schneider Electric (Square D).

You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and collaborating with internal engineering and production teams to deliver tailored switchgear and power distribution solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the low-voltage switchgear and electrical power systems market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, engineers, and industrial clients.
  • Develop a strong understanding of DEI's capabilities in custom switchgear design, manufacturing, and retrofitting.
  • Interpret one-line diagrams and technical drawings to provide accurate product recommendations and quotations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are properly scoped, priced, and executed on schedule.
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation through post-sale follow-up.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and client site visits to promote DEI's capabilities and establish new relationships.
  • Prepare professional sales presentations, proposals, and reports for management review.
  • Track pipeline activities and client communications using CRM or equivalent tools.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience in electrical equipment, switchgear, transformers, or related technical industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of switchgear, panelboards, circuit breakers, and related electrical equipment.
  • Experience working with or selling products from major OEMs such as Siemens, Eaton, or Schneider Electric (Square D).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat for professional documentation.
  • Ability to interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling custom switchgear or engineered-to-order power systems.
  • Familiarity with UL, NEMA, and NEC standards.
  • CRM software proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Established client network within the U.S. power distribution market.
