Overview

Admera Health is seeking a Junior System Engineer to join our growing team

ADMERA - Entering the ADvanced Molecular ERA

Admera Health provides genomic and bioinformatic services supporting discovery through clinical research stages. Our services include solutions for genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, and bioinformatics. Admera has deep expertise working with single-cell, FFPE, custom panels, and difficult or low-input samples.

Title: Junior IT Developer

Department: IT

Location: South Plainfield, NJ

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design, development, testing, and deployment of internal software applications and tools.
  • Provide onsite IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and system issues.
  • Support internal users with technical requests and help-desk tickets.
  • Maintain and update internal systems, scripts, and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with senior developers, IT staff, and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in debugging, testing, and quality assurance activities.
  • Document technical procedures, solutions, and system changes.
  • Follow company security, compliance, and data-privacy standards.

Qualifications Required:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar.
  • Understanding of fundamental IT concepts, operating systems, and networking basics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work onsite, interact with end users, and collaborate in person.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in software development or IT support.
  • Exposure to version control (Git), databases (SQL), or cloud platforms.
  • Experience supporting users in an office or lab environment.
