As a Note Finance Title Review Specialist, you'll be responsible for understanding policies, procedures and processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improved efficiency. In this role you'll work independently, prioritizing projects, and multi-tasking to deliver business-critical results. In addition, you'll review loan closing documents, including preliminary title reports and closing statements obtained from customers to ensure any liens pending are reflected on closing documents for closure.· Order title searches from third party vendors.
· Gather information to resolve title issues.
· Search, examine, and interpret real estate documents.
· Audit legal documents for accuracy.
· Communicate recording information and create reporting.
· Identify gaps and opportunities for improving existing processes and workflows.
· Support other team members with overflow work.
· Assist Manager(s) with ad hoc reporting as needed.
· Ensure liens are recorded, identify exceptions and elevate anomalies.
What you'll need:
3+ years of related experience
- High school diploma required.
- Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite, especially Excel, and the ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies.
- Intermediate experience in examining chain of title on commercial and residential properties.
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
