FURNITURE DELIVERY DRIVER MAJOR FUNCTION:

Drive, deliver, set-up or pick up merchandise at clients' homes, apartments and offices ensuring a fantastic Interior Furniture Resources experience.

FURNITURE DELIVERY DRIVER SPECIFIC DUTIES:

· Responsible for delivery trucks and merchandise on the trucks.

· Delivery, set-up or pick up of furniture and housewares in clients' homes, apartments and offices.

· Complete all paperwork.

· Responsible for the condition of truck and to write weekly truck maintenance reports.

· Supervises work of Delivery Assistant.

· May inspect, touch up and clean merchandise on deliveries

· Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.

FURNITURE DELIVERY DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:

Extensive background check required. IFR is an alcohol free and drug free company.

· Must be DOT qualified and keep all licenses and other required documents current.

· Must be able to read maps and follow oral and written instructions.

· Heavy lifting required – up to 100 pounds. May be required to carry heavy merchandise up stairs.

· Must maintain personal appearance by following company's dress code requirements.

· Must have and maintain a good driving record in accordance with Interior Furniture Resources policy.

· Must be 21 years of age.

· Must be able to work Monday through Friday.

· Subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

· Delivery or warehouse experience preferred.
