Barista/Cashier

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that each guest has a memorable experience in our café.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as food items, following established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Operate the Aloha POS system for processing transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Engage with customers to promote new products and specials while fostering a friendly atmosphere.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred, particularly in a café or coffee shop setting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
• A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to help others are essential qualities for this role.
