Join NYC's finest clinical Therapeutic & Medical Massage Therapy Center since 1983. We are seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist for our extremely busy and healing wellness center. You are looking for part time work as an independent contractor. Seeking a true professional with a New York State License or pending one with a permit. The following Massage Therapy skills are required for our patients:

• Proficient with Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue & Therapeutic Massage techniques
• Present a professional appearance and manner. We wear scrubs since we are licensed health professionals. We wear masks for health and safety when clients are face up and face down is optional for you. Our clients are not currently required to wear masks or face coverings although some prefer it. We stay safe and secure in our upper east side location. We are located in a nice residential neighborhood on the ground floor. Convenient to all major transportation. We work by appointment only.
• Must be capable of massaging only 4 patients per shift. If your prefer to see more patients in a day, it is optional No back-to-back or burnout. We honor our NY State Licensed Massage Therapists We have your back too We offer a well-run, happy, clean, sanitized and established facility.
• 15-minute breaks between appointments for transition and sanitizing
• Take simple SOAP notes as required by New York State law
• Have and maintain an active insurance policy AMTA/ABMP or other
• Maintain neatness in the private treatment room you are assigned to for your shift.
• Our center is cleaned professionally and sanitized but must be kept very tidy in the treatment room. We are super sanitary with sinks, antibacterial soap, and sanitizer in every room
• Massage for half an hour, one hour, or 90 minutes
• 2 hours optional and requested occasionally but not a standard requirement
• Punctual, good natured, hardworking and have seasoned customer service and massage therapy skills
• Wants to be BOOKED and able to fill in to pick up extra work on occasion or whenever possible (but not necessary)

Optional skillset is appreciated such as Myofascial, Medical Massage Therapy, Sports Massage, Pre/Post Natal Massage or Lymph Drainage Experience is a serious plus but not necessary if you just took the state board and/or need a permit, we will welcome you with open arms if you have what it takes to give an excellent professional massage treatment and want to grow at our busy therapeutic and medical massage center We are known for decades due to our friendly, caring and positive energy
