The Opportunity:

Fujitsu General America, Inc. (FGAI) has a
Regional Technical Support (HVAC) Specialist
opportunity in the growing HVAC industry. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for providing pre and post-sales support for residential and commercial products to Sales Engineers, Consulting Engineers, Contractors, Systems Integrators, Mechanical Engineers and Distributor TSA's across the USA and Canada.

This role will specifically be supporting the Midwest Region and the ideal candidate will be located in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin.

What You'll Do Every Day:

  • Handle large volume of technical support calls from Contractors, Distributors, Technical Service Advisors (TSA's) (approximately 20-30 calls per day).
  • Conduct training through on-line tools, Fujitsu Training Facilities or remote locations, when requested.
  • Perform on-site start up inspections, field service inspections and commissioning as needed.
  • Report quality control issues found during field service inspections and recommend corrective measures.
  • Assist the Regional Sales Managers by providing pre and post-sales support as needed.
  • Support distributors and manufacturer's representative agencies with product information and system application.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians team members from lessons learned through training or field service inspections.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years' HVAC experience with service, sales and training duties at distributor, manufacturer or contractor level
  • Minimum 2 years technical training experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC refrigeration cycle
  • Able to read/interpret electrical and electronic blueprints
  • Solid presentation skills, people skills and dealing with diversity
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly resolve product or service issues
  • Extensive HVAC technical background with ability to understand, teach and troubleshoot the refrigeration cycle (VRF experience a plus)
  • Must have valid driver license and/or have reliable means of transportation
  • OK with periodic travel within designated region (15%)
