Join our growing team as a Commercial Millwork Installer, where craftsmanship meets precision on some of New York City's most custom architectural projects. In this role, you'll install high-end custom millwork, cabinetry, wall panels, doors, trim, and specialty woodwork for commercial interiors—from office spaces and lobbies to retail and hospitality environments.

You'll work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and fabrication teams to ensure every installation meets design intent, schedule, and the highest quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to apply advanced installation techniques across a wide range of materials and finishes, contributing to high-profile, detail-driven commercial projects that define our reputation for excellence

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install custom millwork products—including cabinets, moldings, door frames, window casings, wall panels, and architectural wood features—in accordance with blueprints and detailed shop drawings.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical plans to ensure installations are precise and compliant with project specifications.
  • Operate hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, sanders, nail guns, routers) safely and efficiently to achieve high-quality finishes.
  • Safely lift, move, and position materials and components on-site or within the fabrication shop using proper handling techniques.
  • Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and maintain smooth project flow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, consistently adhering to company safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Assist with shop fabrication, assembly, and pre-install preparation of custom millwork components when needed.
  • Perform repairs and restorations of existing millwork and fixtures, ensuring quality and consistency with original designs.
  • Conduct final inspections and quality checks to verify alignment, fit, finish, and durability before project completion.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate, on-spec installations.
  • Strong understanding of construction estimating and material planning, with the ability to assess scope and sequencing for efficient workflow.
  • Skilled in the safe and precise use of hand and power tools, including saws, chisels, hammers, drills, sanders, and nail guns.
  • Proven experience working on commercial or residential construction sites, with a strong commitment to jobsite safety and quality control.
  • Physically capable of heavy lifting and material handling while maintaining precision during complex or large-scale installations.
  • Experienced in fixture and hardware installation, cabinetry setup, and remodeling projects that enhance space function and appearance.
  • Self-motivated and dependable, able to work independently or as part of a coordinated team in fast-paced commercial environments.
  • Dedicated to craftsmanship, accuracy, and professionalism, ensuring each project reflects the highest standard of quality.
