Summary

We are seeking a driven Inside Sales Manager to join the Zapp Precision Strip, Inc. team at our West Coast Service Center in Santa Fe Springs, CA. In this pivotal role, you will lead and actively contribute to our inside sales and customer service operations. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution - you will manage a high-performing team while personally engaging in customer communications, sales quoting, contract preparation, and order management.

As a collaborative leader, you'll partner cross-functionally with production, technical and outside sales teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the inside sales team to optimize performance.
  • Manage and optimize the Inside Sales Process (order inquires to invoicing).
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Research, respond to, and resolve customer claims.
  • Provide support to outside sales teams, including preparation of quotes, data sheets, and promotional material.
  • Establish customer price targets and sales terms in conjunction with management.
  • Conduct ongoing customer needs analysis and after-sales support.
  • Collaborate with customers to forecast demand and develop internal inventory plans to ensure product availability.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inside sales, customer service or related field.
  • Technical knowledge of precision metals or related industries is a plus
  • Demonstrated success leading teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with ERP software; SAP experience a plus.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
