SUMMARY OF POSITION

As an Irrigation Estimator at Clean Scapes, you will focus on estimating irrigation scopes within large commercial landscape projects. You'll review drawings, conduct detailed material takeoffs, and prepare competitive, accurate proposals. From controllers and valves to drip systems and sprinkler heads, your expertise will ensure that projects are properly scoped, costed, and set up for success.

ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review bid invitations, construction drawings, and specifications to prepare irrigation estimates and proposals.
• Conduct material takeoffs for irrigation systems including controllers, valves, piping, sprinkler heads, and drip systems.
• Develop detailed cost estimates factoring in labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for up-to-date pricing on irrigation products and components.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to clarify bids and accommodate changes.
• Track market trends, new irrigation technologies, and cost fluctuations to inform accurate estimating.
• Ensure all bids are completed on time and meet requirements.
• Maintain records of estimates, proposals, and bid results for future use.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Knowledge of irrigation materials, systems, and installation practices.
• Experience in construction or landscape estimation is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and bid specifications.
• Strong skills in Excel, Onscreen take-off, Bluebeam, and other estimating tools.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
• Analytical thinker with strong math and computation skills.
• Effective communicator who can build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Prior estimating experience in irrigation, landscape, or construction is preferred.
• While a degree is impressive, we recognize that what's on paper doesn't define you. Many of us have honed our craft at work rather than school. We'll consider both as a foundation of talent.
