Business Analyst (SAP SCM) // Mountain View CA ( Hybrid 3 days)

This BA will be responsible for SAP SCM and PLM processes, supporting end-to-end business analysis, design, integrations, and testing. This is a techno-functional BA role.

Please note the following mandatory expectations:

  • PLM is mandatory – strong experience with BOMs, engineering changes, master data, and integration into SAP.
  • Must have EDI, IDoc, and 3PL integration experience.
  • SFDC (Salesforce) hands-on is not required; however, a high-level understanding of how SFDC sales order messages flow into SAP logistics is expected.
  • Candidate must understand STO, delivery creation, delivery fulfillment, serial number tracking, and logistics execution flows.
  • Role includes collaboration with Finance (AP, AR, Asset Management) as part of end-to-end SCM processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and SAP teams.
  • Gather and analyze requirements for Direct Procurement, Logistics, and Inventory Management.
  • Prepare BRDs/FRDs, ask probing questions, and identify cross-functional impacts.
  • Partner with developers to clarify requirements and support solution design.
  • Support QA by reviewing test plans, validating test cases, and driving defect resolution.
  • Lead UAT and ensure successful deployment.
  • Collaborate with Finance (AP/AR/Assets) and 3PL partners for seamless end-to-end integration.
  • Work closely with PLM teams on BOMs, engineering changes, and master data.
  • Understand upstream SFDC → SAP messages affecting order fulfillment, delivery creation, STO, and serial management.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement, audit, and SOX requirements.

SAP Modules / Process Focus

  • Direct Procurement: PR-to-PO, vendor invoicing, GR/IR
  • Logistics & Inventory Management: inbound/outbound logistics, stock management, serial tracking
  • Finance Integration: AP, AR, asset capability
  • PLM (Mandatory): BOMs, engineering changes, part master integration
  • Order Fulfillment (High-Level): SFDC → SAP sales order flow, delivery creation, STO processing

Integration Scope (Mandatory)

  • EDI/IDoc: PO, ASN, invoice, shipping, goods movements
  • 3PL Integration: warehousing, replenishment, logistics visibility, inventory sync
  • SFDC Integration: high-level understanding only (no hands-on needed)
