Housekeeper

Summary/Objective

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, appearance, and condition of assigned residential communities and homes. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and team members while upholding Boyd Homes' standards of excellence.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain clean, odor-free, and safe living environments for residents and guests.
  • Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas, ensuring timely completion of daily and weekly tasks.
  • Assist with turnover and preparation of units for new residents, ensuring they meet company standards prior to occupancy.
  • Handle all cleaning equipment, materials, and supplies safely and efficiently.
  • Report any maintenance, safety, or housekeeping concerns promptly to management.
  • Complete special cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Support general groundskeeping tasks, such as trash removal and light exterior cleaning.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory meetings and scheduled training sessions.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude while interacting with residents, coworkers, and management.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily within residential community settings. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on assignment and project needs.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and rotate frequently.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 35–40 pounds.
  • Use hands to handle, grasp, and manipulate cleaning tools and materials.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position. Hours will be flexible based on office hours and need of the site. Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be required based on operational needs.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred.
