Position Overview

We are seeking a Sales Operations & CRM Manager to oversee the daily use, accuracy, and effectiveness of our CRM system and related sales processes. This person will be the bridge between the sales organization and our CRM technical team — ensuring the system reflects our real-world sales activities, improving data quality, and driving adoption through coaching, follow-up, and process refinement.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, persistent, and comfortable holding peers accountable even without direct authority. They should have a strong understanding of sales workflows, a knack for spotting process inefficiencies, and enough technical familiarity with CRM tools to collaborate with administrators and analysts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enforce CRM usage and data hygiene across the sales organization.
  • Regularly review logged activities, pipeline updates, and deal progress for completeness and accuracy.
  • Follow up directly with sales reps and managers to ensure compliance with CRM processes.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline sales workflows and reporting accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the technical CRM administrators to implement configuration changes, new fields, or workflows.
  • Develop and deliver short training or refresher sessions to improve CRM adoption and best practices.
  • Maintain key CRM dashboards and reports (with support from the analytics team).
  • Support sales leadership with insights into pipeline health, activity levels, and bottleneck processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, and IT for CRM-related initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, CRM administration, or Sales Enablement roles.
  • Strong familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Comfortable working with sales teams and enforcing process discipline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — persuasive without being overbearing.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret reports and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel or equivalent data tools; basic understanding of sales analytics preferred.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience supporting a distributed or field sales team.
  • Familiarity with integrations between CRM, ERP, and marketing tools.
  • Background in B2B, manufacturing, or distribution industries a plus.
