Position Overview

The In-Home Care Professional provides personal care, companionship, and household support to seniors and individuals with disabilities or special needs.

This role includes responsibilities typically found in Live-In Care Aides, Home Health Aides, Companions, Homemakers, Personal Care Attendants, and Dementia Care Specialists.

Responsibilities:

Personal Care & Daily Living

  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and hygiene
  • Support safe mobility, transfers, and repositioning
  • Remind clients to take prescribed medications (no administration required)

Companionship & Emotional Support

  • Offer conversation, reading, and recreational activities
  • Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social outings
  • Provide companionship and emotional reassurance

Homemaking & Household Tasks

  • Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, dusting, vacuuming)
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment
  • Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking

Transportation & Errands

  • Drive or accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery stores, or community activities
  • Pick up medications, mail, or essential supplies

Observation & Reporting

  • Monitor and record changes in clients' health or behavior
  • Report concerns promptly to supervisors or healthcare professionals

Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Home Care Aide (HCA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Experience

  • Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or healthcare

Licensing

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
