Part-Time Job Cost Accountant

On behalf of our client, a growing restoration and reconstruction company, we're looking for a Part-Time Job Cost Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves details, enjoys working with numbers, and wants to be part of a supportive, team-oriented culture.

You'll help keep projects on track by making sure every cost is entered accurately and on time - a critical part of helping the team close jobs efficiently and keep clients happy.

Job Overview

We're hiring a Part-Time Job Cost Accountant to support our client's finance and operations teams. In this job, you'll review invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and enter job costs into QuickBooks Online and Dash (RMS). You'll work closely with the current Job Cost Accountant and project teams to make sure every job file is complete and accurate.

This part-time job starts at about 30 hours per month, with the opportunity to grow as the business expands.

What You'll Do

  • Enter and manage job cost data for reconstruction and mitigation projects.

  • Review vendor and subcontractor invoices to make sure they meet company standards.

  • Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

  • Keep financial records and project documentation organized and up to date.

  • Work in QuickBooks Online, Dash (RMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather needed information.

  • Help ensure projects are ready to close on time by providing accurate cost data.

  • Jump in to support the team wherever needed - collaboration is key

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of accounting or finance experience required.

  • Experience in construction or restoration.

  • Strong understanding of job costing, budgeting, and AP/AR processes.

  • Comfortable using QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.

  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude - someone who asks questions, finds solutions, and gets things done.
