Job Summary

The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applicants to apply for a fulltime non-tenure-track, clinical assistant / associate professor faculty position at rank and salary commensurate with experience. This position will have a 12-month contract and is available at our North Tyler campus to begin the Spring 2026 semester. Review of applications will begin immediately, and the positions will remain open until filled.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining an active CRNA practice
• Mentoring and advising students.
• Participating in School and University service.
• Maintain regular on-campus presence.
• Attend departmental meetings.

Required Qualifications¿

• Doctorate in Nursing.
• CRNA certification with at least two (2) years of experience as a CRNA.
• Eligible for licensure in Texas.
• Evidence of program of scholarship.

Preferred Qualifications¿

• Graduate teaching experience

Nursing Program: The highly respected accelerated BSN program enrolls over 1,500 nursing students each semester across three campuses located in Tyler, Longview, and Palestine, Texas. The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
