As a Project Manager for QT Commercial you will be responsible for planning and controlling every stage (from pre-construction through to completion) of roofing installations or repairs to commercial properties for multiple concurrent construction projects. You'll be required to complete projects on time and within budget, while ensuring that roofing teams work in safe conditions.

Qualified candidates will receive a generous base + commission

Responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge required to determine materials and manpower needed for each roofing project.
  • Estimate the time to complete each roofing project and coordinate with teams from varying trades, as appropriate.
  • Determine materials required for each project and devise delivery schedules to ensure roofing membrane, insulation material, fascia's, etc. are available when needed.
  • Plan and ascertain availability of scaffolding, crane, safety apparatuses and other equipment requirements for the project.
  • Review architect's roofing design to plan the sequence of work. Identify any practical problems in achieving the planned result and discuss any necessary changes with the team.
  • Inspect the quality of work throughout the job to ensure QT standards are met.
  • Ensure full compliance with all safety guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver reports detailing the progress of all roofing work.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial roofing project management
  • Ability to motivate and direct the actions of others
  • Experience in project costing and planning
  • Knowledge of roofing techniques
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work under minimal direct supervision.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of roofing/construction management including legal issues and safety standards.
