Job Overview

Busy restaurant seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee daily restaurant activities, ensure exceptional customer service, and lead a team of hospitality professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, staff training, and operational excellence within fast-paced dining environments. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent organizational skills and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences across casual, fine dining, or catering settings.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and shift management to ensure smooth daily functions.
  • Oversee food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety standards to maintain high-quality service and compliance with health regulations.
  • Supervise front-of-house activities such as customer service, cashiering, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
  • Control inventory levels, monitor food and beverage costs, and implement effective inventory control measures.
  • Lead staff training initiatives focusing on food handling, safety protocols, hospitality standards, and culinary techniques.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, catering events, and bar operations.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a competent team aligned with the restaurant's goals.
  • Develop operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall guest experience.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly to maintain positive relationships.

Experience

  • Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments.
  • Background in food industry operations including food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising teams within hospitality or restaurant environments.
  • Experience with POS systems.
  • Prior involvement in staff training & development programs along with budgeting responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with catering, bar operations, or hotel experience is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of food handling procedures, culinary techniques, and customer service excellence.
  • Previous roles may include assistant manager experience or supervisory positions in hospitality management. Pay: $52, $58,000.00 per year
