Yrefy is seeking a strategic and mission-aligned Senior Controller to lead its accounting operations and drive sustainable growth across multiple corporate entities. As a key member of the executive team, the Senior Controller will be the monetary steward of Yrefy's operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, transparency, and strategic alignment across all accounting functions. You'll oversee internal controls for financial compliance, while supporting investor and loan portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team
  • Lead all accounting operations including AR, AP, general ledger and ADP payroll coordination
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and borrower and investor reporting regulations
  • Oversee audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting and potential regulatory inquiries across multiple entities
  • Oversee the final implementation of Sage financial accounting system
  • Monitor and report cash flows and manage debt obligations and renegotiations
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate directly with Tech Development to audit and unify financial dashboards
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and growth initiatives
  • Lead financial risk assessment and mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with CEO and executive team on strategic initiatives, budgeting, forecasting and growth planning at a department level as well as a multi-corporate level
  • Develop and present a financial strategy aligned with Yrefy's business goals
  • Support technology system upgrades to improve financial efficiency and transparency

Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA preferred)
  • 10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in financial services or lending industry
  • Expert MS Excel reporting and analysis skills
  • Sage accounting system experience
  • Experience with loan servicing platforms and financial modeling a plus
  • Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and borrower and investor reporting
  • An ability to collaborate effectively with executive manager and all team members.
