Position Summary

The Human Resources Director will oversee all HR functions within the Skilled Nursing Facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a positive workplace culture. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with healthcare or long-term care experience who can balance recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and staff development with the day-to-day needs of a skilled nursing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Staffing

  • Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for nursing, caregiving, dietary, housekeeping, and administrative staff.

  • Manage scheduling and staffing to ensure quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
  • Employee Relations & Development

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with healthcare standards.

  • Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Design and deliver training programs to support staff development and retention.
  • Compliance & Administration

  • Administer payroll, benefits, and employee records.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, healthcare regulations, and facility policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with facility leadership to align HR strategy with organizational goals.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management on workforce planning and organizational development.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of HR management experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare or long-term care settings.
  • Certifications: Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred but not required
  • Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance and labor laws.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
