Position SummaryThe Human Resources Director will oversee all HR functions within the Skilled Nursing Facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a positive workplace culture. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with healthcare or long-term care experience who can balance recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and staff development with the day-to-day needs of a skilled nursing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Staffing
Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for nursing, caregiving, dietary, housekeeping, and administrative staff.
- Manage scheduling and staffing to ensure quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
Employee Relations & Development
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with healthcare standards.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Design and deliver training programs to support staff development and retention.
Compliance & Administration
Administer payroll, benefits, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, healthcare regulations, and facility policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections.
Strategic Leadership
Partner with facility leadership to align HR strategy with organizational goals.
- Promote a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management on workforce planning and organizational development.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of HR management experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare or long-term care settings.
- Certifications: Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred but not required

Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance and labor laws.
