$315,000 – $355,000
About the Role
A Bay Area based biopharmaceutical company focused on rare diseases is seeking a Head of Pharmacovigilance to lead global safety efforts across clinical and commercial programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and medical leadership for all pharmacovigilance activities.
- Oversee global PV systems, including QPPV activities and vendor management.
- Direct case processing, safety review, signal detection, and regulatory safety reporting.
- Ensure compliance with major international safety regulations and support global launches.
- Represent PV during Health Authority interactions, inspections, and cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
- MD or equivalent with clinical training.
- 12+ years of pharmacovigilance or medical safety experience in biotech/pharma.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and EU safety regulations; additional global experience preferred.
- Background supporting clinical and commercial products, ideally in rare or CNS/endocrine areas.
- Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and lead PV functions in a fast-paced environment.
