Job Description: Hospitality Manager (Front of House & Drive Thru)

Reports to: Shop Manager

Supervises: Front of House Team Members (when acting as a shift leader will also supervise other staff)

Classification: Non-Exempt

Overview

The Front of House Manager is a leader who exemplifies Parlor values and upholds standards and policies. The Front of House Manager is responsible for the lobby, service counter, and dining areas; and the overall customer service environment which meets or exceeds the Parlor standard. The Front of House Manager is also responsible for managing Front of House Team Members and maintaining a safe and clean workspace. Front of House and Drive Thru is the face of Parlor.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the Front of House/Drive Thru Functions:

a. Create an environment where all customers receive warm, welcoming service;

b. Ensure each customer is given a menu when greeted;

c. Foster a culture of teamwork, positive attitude, and service; and

d. Insure the cleanliness of the lobby, service area, dining room, and restrooms.

  1. Provide leadership of Hospitality (Front of House/Drive Thru) Team Members:

a. Train and develop Hospitality Team Members, including customer service;

b. Supervise Hospitality Team Members;

c. Create a "team" environment; and

d. Uphold standards/policies, including dress code of Hospitality Team Members.

  1. Manage Front of House/Drive Thru supplies:

a. Keep merchandise and grab and go items neat and stocked;

b. Submit needs to Shop Manager or designee;

c. Plan ahead and be sure items are stocked, e.g. doughnuts, coffee, boxes, etc.;

d. Avoid the "We're out" scenario;

e. Manage Hospitality finances by reducing waste; and

f. Order/purchase supplies needed from approved vendors.

  1. Help in all areas of store when needed.

  2. Act as shift leader as applicable.

Qualifications

  1. Leadership skills

  2. Interpersonal skills

  3. Base of culinary knowledge

  4. Attention to detail

  5. Ability to multi-task efficiently

  6. Able to work well under pressure

  7. Physical stamina to withstand a full shift potentially on their feet

  8. Conflict resolution

Education and Experience

  1. Practical experience in various food service positions

  2. Must obtain/maintain ServSafe or State certification

  3. Customer service experience a plus

  4. Management experience a plus
