What you'll do

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient conditions.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
  • Engage clients in social activities that promote mental stimulation and joy.
  • Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.

Basic qualifications

  • Experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health or assisted living.
  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or Alzheimer's care.
  • Background in nursing or social work is a plus.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by patient needs.
