Design Specialist

Description
As a Design Specialist, you'll bring creativity and technical expertise together to help customers design cohesive, functional RV interiors. You'll collaborate directly with OEM partners and customers to guide them through selecting interior finishes such as wood grains, wall panels, countertops, flooring, and backsplashes that align with their brand vision and end-user preferences. You'll play a key role in showcasing Genesis Products' design capabilities and ensuring that every concept is both visually appealing and manufacturable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop cohesive interior design palettes, recommending wood grains, wall panels, flooring, and decorative elements that align with the customer's aesthetic and functional needs.
- Collaborate with customers and OEM partners to understand their design goals, target market, and brand identity.
- Create digital mood boards, color stories, and material presentation to bring design concepts to life.
- Partner with product managers and engineers to ensure design selections align with Genesis' manufacturing capabilities and material availability.
- Stay ahead of design trends in the RV, residential, and automotive industries to inspire customers and inform internal innovation.
- Manage and organize materials and sample libraries within the Design Center, ensuring current and relevant offerings are showcased.
- Serve as a material and finish expert, building strong relationships with suppliers to stay updated on new textures, finishes, and materials.
- Support trade show and marketing initiatives by contributing to trend reports, display planning, and presentation design.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of design experience, preferably in interior, product, or materials design (RV, residential, or automotive industry a plus).
- Proficiency with design visualization tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, or SketchUp.
- Strong visual presentation and communication skills—able to convey ideas clearly to both creative and technical audiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple design projects at once.
