Tree Service Groundsman

Barberton Tree Service has been a trusted, family-owned and operated business for over 50 years We are located in Barberton, Ohio, with only one centralized location — no traveling required.

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced groundsperson who is committed to safety, professionalism, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting tree removal and trimming operations and will play a critical role in the daily success of the crew.

Qualified candidates must be confident operating chainsaws and brush chippers safely and efficiently. Ground crew members are also required to drive chip trucks to and from job sites and assist with tree takedowns and brush chipping in confined work areas.

Requirements:

• Ability to assist with pruning and removing trees in limited drop zones
• Experience in tree care maintenance or landscaping preferred
• Valid Ohio Driver's License with a clean driving record (CDL preferred)
• Ability to provide a current Ohio BMV Driver Abstract (issued within the last 10 days)
• Ability to operate a heavy-duty manual transmission vehicle
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Familiarity with tree equipment operation
• Consistent use of PPE and safety practices
• Ability to work long hours, including Saturdays and on-call shifts
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical job demands
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute daily

Employment Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 – $26.00 per hour
