Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Monitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the well-being and safety of individuals in our care, providing support, and ensuring a positive environment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage crises effectively, and a commitment to fostering a supportive atmosphere for all clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site supervision and a supportive presence for residents during 2nd shift.
  • Conduct safety, curfew, and wellness checks; complete headcounts and log entries per policy.
  • Monitor adherence to house rules, visitor and pass policies, and recovery plans; issue timely reminders/redirection.
  • Complete accurate documentation (shift notes, incident reports, pass logs, chore checks, sign-in/out sheets).
  • Support medication and property protocols (e.g., secure storage, counts, documentation) per agency policy.
  • Administer or observe urine drug screens and breathalyzer tests in accordance with procedure.
  • De-escalate conflicts and respond to crises; contact on-call staff/emergency services when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly environment; support residents in shared chores and house upkeep.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in human services a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ability to be added to agency insurance.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Basic computer skills (email, electronic logs, incident reporting).
  • Strong communication, boundaries, and de-escalation skills; reliable and punctual.

Job Type: Full-time
