Position Overview
They are seeking an experienced and energetic
Sales Representative
to promote and grow sales of their premium equine feed products throughout
New York and New England
. The ideal candidate has a solid footing in the equine industry-particularly in racing, eventing, or sport horse disciplines-and a strong drive for sales and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with trainers, barn managers, farm owners, feed dealers, and veterinarians
- Identify new sales opportunities and convert leads into long-term customers
- Provide product knowledge and nutritional insights to clients and prospects
- Represent the brand at equine events, trade shows, and industry gatherings
- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to support territory growth
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
Qualifications
- Established network within the equine or racing/sport horse community
- Proven sales experience (equine industry experience highly preferred)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
- Willingness to travel regularly within the region
- Passion for horses and equine nutrition is a must
