Responsibilities

  • Develop and distribute press releases that effectively communicate organizational news and initiatives using AP style guidelines for clarity and professionalism
  • Cultivate and maintain media relationships to secure coverage across various platforms, including print, broadcast, and digital outlets
  • Coordinate and deliver engaging public speaking presentations to diverse audiences to promote organizational goals and initiatives
  • Conduct research to identify media opportunities, monitor industry trends, and gather insights for strategic communication planning
  • Organize press conferences, community events, and outreach activities that foster positive relationships with the public and media representatives

Experience

  • Proven experience in public relations, journalism, or communications with a strong portfolio of press releases, articles, or media campaigns
  • Excellent writing skills with a keen eye for detail;
  • Strong public speaking abilities with experience delivering presentations or speeches to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated research skills to identify media opportunities and analyze industry trends effectively
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and strategies for increasing audience engagement
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—that convey messages clearly and persuasively
  • Experience in editing and proofreading communication materials to ensure professionalism and accuracy
