2nd Year Intern TherapistJob Title: 2nd Year Interns
Location: Chicago, IL (Remote flexibility)
Pay: $40.00 per clinical hour
Hours: 15-20 billed client hours
About Us
MK Counseling & Wellness is a small, values-driven private practice based in Chicago. We offer trauma-informed, body-centered, and anti-oppressive mental health care for BIPOC women navigating complicated relationships and seeking deeper community and self-connection. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented, part-time Insurance Coordinator to support the administrative side of our practice.
Position Summary
The 2nd Year Intern Therapist will be responsible for providing quality clinical services to clients from a framework that is in alignment with the mission and vision of the practice. This position will be responsible for assessments, diagnosing, treatment planning, and timely documentation. This position is also expected to participate in monthly networking events, bi-weekly group supervision, weekly individual supervision, and required practice trainings.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing clinical services to 15-20 clients per week.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records and notes within the EHR system
- Attending required clinical training, bi-weekly group consultation, and weekly supervision
- Participating in networking events twice a month to build your caseload
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Masters in psychology, counseling or social work
- Interest in somatic modality such as EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, IFS, NARM, HAKOMI
- Strong understanding of Slack, Google, and Simple Practice.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Comfort working independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to confidentiality, equity, and a trauma-informed approach.
