JOB SUMMARY:
This is an Operations Analyst I position in the General Tax Administration Program, Return Reconciliation Process, Sales and Miscellaneous Tax Unit. The incumbent provides technical assistance and guidance to revenue specialists on difficult and complex tax return reviews. The incumbent gathers and organizes data on problems or problematic procedures and researches and analyzes data to prepare analysis or solutions. The incumbent also provides consultation to other business processes on the review of returns and assists in the development of training plans and provides training.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
- Two years of experience related to examining and correcting tax returns within the Return Reconciliation Process.
- Two years of experience researching and resolving taxpayer accounts or tax return discrepancies in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX).
- Two years of experience related to communicating with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing.
PREFERENCES:
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience utilizing Florida and federal laws to research, resolve, and correct sales and/or miscellaneous tax returns within the Return Reconciliation Process.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $3,537.79 monthly/$42,453.48 annually.
- This is a full-time position. The required work hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- This role is eligible for telework and flexible scheduling after you complete the required training and reach an acceptable level of proficiency.
SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $3,537.79 monthly/$42,453.48 annually.
