Typical Day in the Role
• Purpose of the Team: The main function of a Senior Systems Engineer is to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade Windows-based and Android-based Teams device solutions and collaboration platforms within the MS ecosystem. This role focuses on ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable services across global environments, including Windows and Android based Microsoft Teams Rooms, Surface Hub,Teams phones, Teams Panels endpoints. The engineer will troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize system performance, and drive automation to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
· Key projects:
→ Architect, configure, and maintain MS Teams Devices (Windows-based infrastructure and MS Teams Rooms, Teams Rooms on Android, Teams Panel, Teams Phone environments to meet business and security objectives.
→ Deploy and manage MS Intune, Autopilot, and related device provisioning technologies for modern endpoint management.
→ Implement automation using PowerShell and Azure services to streamline configuration, monitoring, and remediation processes.
→ Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides.
→ Lead projects focused on MS Teams Devices Rooms lifecycle management, Zero Trust migration, and Windows security hardening.
→ Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues across MS Teams Device Windows endpoints and collaboration devices.
→ Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate new MS technologies and improve existing infrastructure.
→ Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Windows and Android OS, Teams Rooms devices, networking, conditional access and identity management.
→ Ensure compliance with MS security standards and participate in audits and governance reviews.
Candidate Requirements
· Disqualifiers:
□ Candidates must have a full 18 months of access; those with less are automatically disqualified.
□ Prior MS experience is preferred; lack of experience in the MS technology ecosystem may be a disqualifier.
□ Candidates unable able to handle hardware up to 10 lbs
□ Inability to work Hybrid
• Best vs. Average:
→ 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on Windows and MStechnologies.
→ Expertise in MS Teams Rooms, Surface Hub, Android based Teams devices and enterprise collaboration platforms.
→ Strong knowledge of Windows and Android OS deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management.
→ Experience with Intune, Autopilot, Azure Active Directory, and identity governance.
→ Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation frameworks.
→ Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and modern device management strategies.
→ Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead cross-functional technical projects.
→ Knowledge of Change Advisory Board (CAB) intake process.
