Primary Services is pleased to announce the role of
Network Operations Center (NOC) Tier II Support Technician
for our client, a large and well-established telecommunications industry organization, in a 24/7 network operations environment, and enjoys tackling real-time issues that impact business continuity. You'll monitor complex fiber optic systems, respond to alerts, and communicate with both internal teams and external customers to ensure fast, effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor fiber optic data network performance using network management systems
  • Respond to service-impacting and non-service-impacting events with detailed tracking and notifications
  • Perform end-to-end trouble ticket handling, including troubleshooting and resolution
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external data customers
  • Maintain network documentation and update monitoring systems for maximum efficiency
  • Generate, log, and respond to inbound support calls
  • Coordinate with Field Operations and Network Operations to provide detailed route and outage information
  • Dispatch field technicians as needed
  • Produce and distribute required system reports
  • Assist with ongoing maintenance tracking and scheduling
  • Perform additional network operations center (NOC) duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Network Operations Center or related technical environment
  • Technical certification in networking or related field preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of SNMP, SolarWinds, One Control, and OSP
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as OTRS or Remedy
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Available for flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to speak, read, and follow verbal and written instructions in English
