Who are you?
Role of Catering Offsite Cook for F10 Catering & Events.
Our clients—and their guests—are at the center of everything we do. As a catering line cook, you'll help create some of the most meaningful moments in people's lives: weddings, milestone birthdays, celebrations of life, and once-in-a-lifetime gatherings. Whether it's your first or your hundredth event, we expect you to show up with intention, care, and the best version of yourself.
Can you bring the same focus and finesse to a tent kitchen in a vineyard, a rooftop in downtown L.A., or a family estate in Coachella? Can you craft restaurant-quality dishes in unconventional spaces, adjusting on the fly while maintaining excellence? Can you deliver every plate with the same pride and precision you'd offer at your own table?
This role is equal parts skill and adaptability. You'll set up mobile kitchens, execute menus with speed and consistency, collaborate with chefs and servers to ensure seamless service, and break down with care—leaving no trace behind. From prep to plating, timing to teamwork, you'll be part of a culinary experience that guests will remember for the rest of their lives.

What you will do:
Food Safety, Hygiene, and Quality Control
- Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards during preparation, cooking, and service.
- Ensure all ingredients are properly handled, stored, and cooked to meet safety guidelines.
- Inspect ingredients before each off-site event to confirm quality and freshness; communicate any concerns to the culinary lead or chef.
- Follow recipes and company culinary standards to maintain consistency and excellence in every dish.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the event.
Client Interactions and Satisfaction
- Interact with clients in a professional, courteous manner when needed to support the overall guest experience.
- Respond to client inquiries, special requests, or concerns promptly and respectfully.
- Remain adaptable to last-minute changes, special dietary requests, or event adjustments, maintaining composure under pressure.
- Strive to exceed client expectations by contributing to a memorable and seamless dining experience.
Event Setup, Execution, and Breakdown
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of mobile kitchens and workstations at event sites.
- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to event menus and chef's direction, maintaining the highest standards of quality and taste.
- Work efficiently to ensure all dishes are ready for service on time, coordinating with the catering team to maintain a smooth flow.
- Support with inventory, packing, and transport of equipment and ingredients as needed.
- Ensure proper cleanup and organization of equipment, tools, and workspace after each event.
Teamwork
- Collaborate closely with chefs, servers, event planners, and fellow staff to ensure seamless event execution.
- Assist with mise en place and pre-event preparation to ensure readiness of ingredients, equipment, and utensils.
- Take direction from culinary leads and event managers while remaining open to supporting additional tasks as needed.
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in high-volume catering preferred.
- Strong knife skills and solid foundation in cooking techniques.
- Ability to maintain quality and consistency in fast-paced, off-site environments.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Valid food handler's certification (or ability to obtain).
- Reliable transportation to and from event locations.
Other Requirements:
- Riverside County Food Handlers card.
- Able to speak clearly and listen attentively to supervisors, employees, and customers; able to give direction as necessary.
- Impeccable service standards, clean work habits, and great attention to detail.
- Adheres to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays, and perform physical tasks as required.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equitant combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employee organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability:
Able to solve real-world problems and adapt to different situations, even when there aren't clear rules. Can understand and follow instructions given in writing, verbally, or through diagrams and schedules.
Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and can be located at a variety of event spaces such as banquet halls, conference centers, hotels, outdoor venues, and private residences. These venues can vary in size, style, and layout, and may host a wide range of events including weddings, corporate functions, galas, or private parties. Noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Our work often takes place in environments where privacy is paramount. Team members may interact with high-profile individuals, including celebrities and affluent clients, and are expected to maintain the highest level of discretion at all times. We are entrusted to deliver exceptional service while respecting our clients' privacy—this means engaging with professionalism, avoiding undue attention, and upholding the integrity of our brand in every interaction.
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to site, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and taste or smell.
