Recovery Room Assistants are responsible for providing clinical, laboratory, and clerical support in outpatient settings, such as clinics and laboratories, while assisting with patient care by preparing patients for procedures and maintaining a sterile environment. Willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Record vital signs and gather patient data

  • Assist with patient positioning and prep for procedures

  • Maintain a sterile environment and perform surgical scrub techniques
  • Clean, restock, and ensure operating room efficiency
  • Assist the nurse in the recovery room as needed
  • Assist the endoscopy technician

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow medical protocols

  • Knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and basic laboratory procedures helpful

  • Interact with patients and staff professionally.

  • Maintains patient confidentiality.

  • Maintains good working relationships and helps create a patient centered service environment.

  • Performs data entry

  • Complete assigned competencies within deadline.
  • Follows safety policies. Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ability to maintain focus and work under pressure and in an isolated clean room environment
  • Strong Presentation and Listening Skills
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and other Software
  • Clinical experience in Physician Practice preferred

Physical Demands:

May spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, moving, and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients or objects may involve lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as assisting with weights of more than one hundred (100) pounds. Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend or twist their body, as well as visual acuity.
