Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our fast-paced food service team. This role is vital in delivering high-quality sandwiches and excellent customer service in a quick-service restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong time management skills, and experience in the food industry. Previous experience with POS systems in food establishments is a plus, along with a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

Duties

  • Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company recipes and customer specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
  • Operate POS systems accurately for order processing, including cash handling and transaction management
  • Assist customers with menu selections, upselling items, and providing exceptional customer service
  • Manage food inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
  • Handle cashier duties including processing payments via POS systems and providing receipts
  • Ensure timely completion of orders to meet customer expectations for speed and quality
  • Support team members with bussing tables or cleaning as required to maintain a clean dining environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or quick-service restaurant environments preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
  • Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Kitchen or café experience is desirable; retail or grocery store experience is a plus
  • Basic understanding of serving, bussing, and general food industry standards
