Job Summary

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. Your enthusiasm and expertise will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, particularly in pediatric dentistry. You will assist dentists with various procedures, manage patient records, and maintain compliance with health regulations, including HIPAA standards. Join us in making a difference in our patients' smiles

What you'll do

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
  • Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use
  • Take X-rays and perform medical imaging as required, adhering to safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient records using EMR systems Dentrix
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-operative care
  • Monitor vital signs and assist with chairside procedures, ensuring patient safety at all times
  • Implement infection control measures and aseptic techniques to maintain a clean environment
  • Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional care across various specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics

Basic qualifications

  • Dental Assistance Certification
  • Dental X-Ray Certification
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with patients and team members
