IntelliSys Solutions Group is an engineering and project management consulting firm, located in South Philadelphia. Our team of developers, engineers, and business analysts work together to improve automation, streamline logistics, and establish quality control for government organizations.

Our team is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our Naval Surface Warfare customer based in Chesapeake, VA. This role will be responsible for performing a variety of engineering tasks of analysis, design, or test nature in one or more product/service areas, requiring strong technical skills in one or more software and/or hardware engineering disciplines. Plans, conducts and may supervise research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification. Participate on project teams and provide guidance to technical staff. It will be expected that the position uses existing procedures and standard practice to solve routine or standard problems. Must be able to work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

This position is contingent based on award/funding from the customer.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Support the engineering and design process by developing design documentation for Navy small boats, such as technical drawings, Liaison Action Records, and Boat Alteration Records

· Produce research and perform calculations for electrical loads and wiring demands

· Use client-provided drawing format standards to produce technical documentation and CAD drawings to standardize and document system upgrades on Navy craft

· Analyze and interpret engineering blueprints, bills of materials, and installation manuals to produce clear and accurate schematics and wiring diagrams

· Travel up up to 5%

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline

· 1+ years of experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat

· Familiarity with electrical and electronic systems for marine applications, such as navigation and communications systems gauges, sensors, radars, cabin and deck lighting, engines, pumps and shore power

· Knowledge of marine industry or small boats

· Active Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

· Tasking is primarily computer based but occasional boat checks may be required of craft that are on trailers, in the water, or on ships

· Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods (e.g. Teams, Zoom)

· Walking and climbing. Ability to climb up to 4 flights of stairs

· Carrying and Lifting. Ability to transport and lift up to 20 lbs
