Overview

Quill & Arrow LLP is a leading California plaintiff's firm with a premier lemon law practice, now expanding into plaintiff's side employment law across California. We are seeking a driven Employment Attorney with 3 - 4 years of experience who is ready not just to handle cases, but to help build and lead a growing employment law team.

Duties

  • Manage a plaintiff‑side employment caseload from intake through resolution (including litigation), with support from our existing infrastructure.
  • Handle claims such as wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage‑and‑hour (individual and, as applicable, class/PAGA), and related employment disputes.
  • Lead case strategy, draft pleadings and motions, conduct discovery, take/defend depositions, and represent clients at mediations, hearings, and, where applicable, trial.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to develop workflows, protocols, and best practices for a new employment practice group.
  • Mentor and, over time, help hire and develop junior attorneys, paralegals, and staff as the team grows.

What we're looking for:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 3 - 4 years of substantive experience in employment law, preferably representing employees (plaintiff side) or a strong mix of plaintiff/defense experience with a clear passion for employee advocacy.
  • Solid litigation skills: drafting, motion practice, discovery, and client counseling; deposition and mediation experience strongly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: excited to help build a practice area, improve systems, and eventually grow and lead your own team.
  • Strong work ethic, ownership mentality, and excellent communication skills with clients, courts, and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: 180, ,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
  • End‑of‑year bonus eligibility based on individual and firm performance.

Work Environment

This position is onsite in our Westwood office (Los Angeles, CA 90024), with hybrid opportunities available for discussion after a defined period of time (discussed during offer letter negotiations). You will have direct access to firm leadership, established litigation support, and a high‑volume plaintiff practice. The ideal candidate wants the stability and resources of an established firm with the autonomy and growth curve of a "startup" practice group.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $160, $200,000.00 per year
