About the West Hollywood Design Center:

Our West Hollywood Design Center is our premier destination for discerning clients, design professionals, and industry partners seeking expert guidance, elevated service, and a more curated, customized sleep solution. In addition to walk-in guests, the Design Center regularly hosts private fittings, designer collaborations, and referral-based appointments. This role supports that environment by delivering concierge-level service, managing relationships, and helping clients navigate Custom Comfort's handcrafted product line with confidence and ease.

Role Overview:

The Design Sales Lead is a high-touch, relationship-driven role that supports an elevated clientele and the design community through personalized sleep consultations, private fittings, and exceptional service.

This position blends luxury service, design collaboration, and wellness-oriented product expertise. They will often represent the brand at private appointments, industry events, and designer-facing engagements while supporting daily showroom operations and walk-in guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver highly personalized, welcoming, and discreet service for clients seeking an elevated experience.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Custom Comfort Mattress construction, materials, and accessories, especially how to match sleep solutions to body type, sleep habits, and wellness considerations.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for interior designers, architects, and industry partners.
  • Coordinate and conduct appointment-based fittings, private sleep consultations, and follow-up communication to maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Support showroom operations during non-appointment periods, including walk-in client service, merchandising upkeep, and maintaining showroom standards that reflect a luxury environment.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule aligned with client needs, including occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend appointments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years in luxury retail, concierge services, hospitality, wellness consultation, design-adjacent sales, or other high-touch client-facing roles. 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with interior designers, architects, or luxury home-related services preferred.
  • Exposure to wellness, sleep coaching, fitness, or health education roles preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to create trust, build rapport, and maintain professional boundaries with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to navigate sensitive or high-profile situations with confidence and calm.
  • Proven ability to guide clients through decision-making with an educational, consultative approach.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time during core hours (10am to 6pm) with adjustments for after-hours appointments. Available to work weekends.
  • Professional presentation that aligns with a refined showroom environment.

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate typically starts from $27/hour + monthly sales incentive bonuses.
  • After 90 days, you are required to meet minimum monthly revenue goals.
  • Hourly base pay can increase quarterly as you exceed quarterly revenue goals up to $47/hr.
  • Average Sales Lead hourly rate across Southern California is $35/hr, with total annual compensation (hourly + monthly bonuses) from $85,000 - $100,000+.
