As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of complex aerospace and defense systems for our customers as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will work with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, design solutions, and ensure system integration and performance. Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility
  • Provide independent review and cross-program coordination to ensure subsystem designs are compatible
  • Define, develop, and manage system requirements in coordination with other project staff
  • Create system design documents and specifications
  • Coordinate system integration and testing
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure system performance and compliance
  • Provide technical leadership to the organization
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Provide remote and on-site support for Department of Defense (DoD) and other industry partners. Anticipated travel is 25% (Once per month) to customer sites primarily in the states of GA and FL.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 10 years of experience with preference for experience in the aerospace and defense industry; candidates with less experience who have a track record of proven high performance will also be considered
  • Proficiency employing MBSE principles on complex programs, including implementing MBSE methodologies such as OOSEM and using MBSE tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw to model systems in languages such as SysML

  • Experience in executing complex system development using Agile processes, including integration of Systems Engineering workflows and activities with overall program management and detailed engineering design
  • Experience with requirements management tools, such as DOORS
  • Experience with FAA and/or Military Certification processes and requirements
  • Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Experience with aircraft data systems, aircraft communication data links, and/or Electronic Warfare (EW) systems
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proven track record of providing technical leadership to small, high performance teams
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
